IELTS Preparation Course
Introduction
This course is for students with higher English language competency levels (those who will do our placement test and obtain B2, C1 and C2 English language competency levels). We guarantee an IELTS band score of 7 or above to those who follow this course successfully.
Our lesson materials are developed by an experienced IELTS course designer in the UK and the course is delivered by experienced Sri Lankan trainers with teaching qualifications from the University of Cambridge and Trinity College London. In addition, guest lectures are carried out by qualified and experienced lecturers from the UK via zoom.
Course Structure
This course is designed to develop your grammar, vocabulary, spelling and pronunciation and to practise the subskills of listening, reading, writing and speaking required to perform successfully in different task types of the IELTS examination. In addition, practical time management tips are shared with you throughout the course.
Further, two mock tests and two counselling sessions are carried out to prepare you for the IELTS exam.


Course Duration
You will attend classes for 8 weeks. This covers 48-hours of training
with 6 hours of exam preparation classes (3-hour lessons on 2 days) per week. In addition, you will complete 3 hours of self study tasks per week on Google Classroom.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of our IELTS Preparation course, you will be able to
- develop receptive and productive skills and relevant sub-skills needed to obtain an IELTS band score of 7 in all components
- practise skills required to answer each section of the 4 tests of the IELTS exam
- practise time management and exam techniques.
- familiarise yourself with the question types, marking criteria and band descriptors
- receive constructive feedback, identify areas to improve on and develop a student development action plan for further improvement.
