Advanced Certificate in Business Management (Level 4)
Course Overview
Our Advanced Certificate in Business Management Programme will enable students to develop an understanding of the business skills in the core functions of Management. This foundation course provides an excellent opportunity for students to progress to the UK, Europe and Canadian University undergraduate-level programmes. Also, this course is designed to provide core soft skills, which facilitate employment. Students can claim a standalone qualification after the completion of the first four units to gain local employment. This qualification provides for a substantial amount of employer engagement and work readiness throughout the academic pathway of the Programme.
Our Foundation programme in Business Management encompasses the following objectives to meet the overseas Higher Education Institution’s (HEIs) and 21st-century relevant employer needs.
Programme Objectives:
Learning outcomes are mapped against overseas Higher Education Standards where appropriate, for students' degree progression
Course content is ‘current’ and regularly revised to align with the local employer needs and overseas Higher Education Institutions' undergraduate degree progression
Assignments are designed to familiarise learners with the overseas Higher Education Institutions' undergraduate Learning Teaching and Assessment (LTA) strategies
Underpinning assistance for our students and lecturers with teaching and learning materials and Sample Assessment Materials (SAMs) via UKSA online.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this programme the students will be able to

Minimum Admission Requirements:
Students are expected to meet the following entry requirements
- Completion of Secondary Qualification – secondary qualification with a minimum of 06 subjects including Maths and English or Completion of locally recognized NVQ level 3 or related 3 years of work experience in a junior supervisory level.
- The applicant must be usually 18 years of age.
Recognition to Prior Learning (RPL) and Attainment
RPL is a method of a ssessment which leads towards an award of credit. In this way our prospective students can demonstrate that they will be able to meet our assessment requirements for foundation programme units through their acquired existing knowledge and skills.
UKSA recognises student’s previous achievements and professional work experience and this will provide a suitable route for the recognition of the achievements/work experience resulting from continuous learning and/or earlier employment.

Unit 7: Recording Financial Transactions Unit

Awards:
This Qualification will be awarded by UK Skills Awards Pvt Ltd , a UK Department for Education (DfE – ESFA) approved registered training Organization. This institution is currently working towards the TVEC (Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission) approval of Sri Lanka.
Students can complete the first four units and claim a standalone qualification for Certificate in Business Management (Sri Lankan NVQ equivalent Level 3 (SLQF Level 1) for employment opportunities.
